The Clear View Wash Bucket With Grit Guard is our take on what a wash bucket should be. Moulded in 3 mm thick plastic with a reinforced upper rim, it is built to survive years of real use rather than a single season. The fully transparent body lets you see straight into the water at any point during the wash — a simple feature that changes how you work, because you can actually watch the dirt collecting at the bottom.
With a 20 litre capacity and international standard dimensions, it accepts every common separator, grit guard and Buckanizer on the market. A grit guard is included.

Wash buckets come in every colour, size and shape imaginable. In our view, the ultimate one is clear — and here is why.
In a solid, coloured bucket you have no way of judging when the water has turned. Once a layer of foam sits on the surface, the water underneath is completely hidden, and you keep dipping your mitt into water that is already carrying grit. With the Clear View Wash Bucket you can see the water at a glance, spot the moment it goes cloudy, and change it before it does any damage. That makes the whole wash noticeably safer for your paint.
Get the most from the two bucket wash method
We always recommend the two bucket wash method: one bucket for your shampoo solution and one rinse bucket for the mitt. Rinsing the mitt separately means the dirt you lift off the car stays out of your clean soapy water instead of being carried straight back onto the paint. Fewer particles on the mitt means fewer swirl marks and scratches from hand washing.
Adding a grit guard takes it a step further — the dirt drops below the guard and stays there, instead of being stirred back up as you dip. Combine the two bucket method with grit guards in both buckets and a transparent body you can actually monitor, and you have about as safe a hand wash setup as you can build.
